The National Gallery £2 was the first £2 coin to be individually released in 2024, after being featured in the 2024 Annual Coin Set at the beginning of the year. The National Gallery is home to over 2,300 works of art dating back to the 13th century, including pieces by the likes of Monet, Vincent van Gough and Rembrandt. This coin features a design of the iconic façade of the National Gallery building in Trafalgar Square in London along with the inscription ‘200 YEARS OF THE NATIONAL GALLERY’, celebrating its milestone anniversary.
