The Team GB & ParalympicsGB 50p was the final coin to be individually released from the 2024 Annual Coin Set. It was issued to support Team GB and ParalympicsGB’s participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The reverse design features two geometric athletes in action against the Union flag, and if you look closely you’ll even see an Eiffel Tower at the bottom of the design, a nod to the hosting city. There have been several Olympic 50ps issued previously, however this was the first UK sporting 50p to feature King Charles III on the obverse.
