The 7th coin in The Royal Mint’s Music Legends series celebrated English rock group, The Police. This £5 coin featured a design inspired by both the Synchronicity album cover and the Every Breath You Take: The Classics cover art. 2023 marked 40 years since their iconic and final album, Synchronicity, so it was fitting that The Police featured on a Music Legends £5 coin. This was only the second Music Legends coin to feature King Charles III on the obverse, making it one of the first UK £5 series to feature 2 different obverse monarchs.
