Dame Shirley Bassey is without a doubt one of the most iconic musical artists of the 20th century, so it’s only fitting that she featured on the fifth coin in The Royal Mint’s Music Legends series. The design of the coin pays tribute to the Dame’s incredible 70 years of talent, style and legacy in show business, as well as featuring all three of her James Bond theme song titles within the design. This was the first coin in the Music Legends series to feature King Charles III on the obverse, making it one of the first dual portrait commemorative UK £5 series.
