This 50p has been issued in 2020 in continuation of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the much-loved Christmas tale, The Snowman™. It’s been designed by Robin Shaw and it features a charming design of the main character and his companion James in a friendly embrace. It is the third 50p to celebrate The Snowman ™, meaning there are three different designs to collect! The obverse of this coin features the fifth portrait of HM QE II by Jody Clark.
