This £5 coin was issued as part of the 2020 Tower of London £5 Series and celebrates The Royal Mint. Before moving to Wales, The Royal Mint had two previous homes, including within the walls of the Tower of London, where it operated for over 500 years! Heraldic artist Timothy Noad has designed this Royal Mint £5, which also features the second jigsaw-style section of the Norman arched window which can be seen in full when all four 2020 Tower of London £5 coins are placed together. The obverse of this coin features the fifth portrait of HM QE II by Jody Clark.
